The Cavalier Mr. Thompson: A Sam Hill Novel

In his first crime graphic novel in 15 years, veteran cartoonist Rich Tommaso brings readers a story that’s one part crime and one part American History. Set in a small oil town of 1920’s Big Spring, Texas, this follows the trials and tribulations of aspiring detective Sam Hill and family. Loosely based on the works of real-life crime writer Jim Thompson, The Cavalier Mr Thompson holds the flavour of Thompson’s crime novels. However this is very much Tommaso’s own story. This marks the first instalment of Tommaso’s Sam Hill series.
