A Sheepdog’s Christmas

Two thousand years ago the angels appeared to the shepherds announcing the birth of Christ. On that same night they also appeared to a very special sheepdog. Join Gur and his best friend, Elon and experience the wonderment of heaven from the eyes of a simple sheepdog. Take a journey along with Gur who like so many of us wait in anticipation for a glimpse of heaven’s glory. Enjoy the miracle of a heaven filled with a host of angels announcing God’s greatest gift to earth. Then follow them through the town of Bethlehem in their search to worship the Christ child. See in the manger a child who comes into this world in a humble stable far from the palatial surroundings of earthly kings. Then when all seems calm in the stable, Gur will face his greatest battle in protecting his family and the Christ child. Kay Erwin, her husband and their Australian Shepherd Deacon, have spent most of their lives along the Gulf Coast of Texas. Kay graduated from West Texas State University in 1980 and has spent most of her career in technology. Her passion has always been teaching God’s Word through a ministry to College Students and Women’s Bible Study for the past 15 years. She and her husband, for the past year, have been praying about a ministry of encouragement through the written word. In 2007 they created a design and ministry endeavor, called Deacon Dog Designs. Her belief is that one of God’s greatest examples of unconditional love is demonstrated through the relationship of a dog to his master. Her love of animals has lead her to write a series of cards for encouragement, utilizing dogs to demonstrate God’s principles. She is in the process of developing several children’s books, an extended line of cards and devotionals.
