Yeates was an Irish poet and dramatist. He was one of the founders of the Abbey Theatre and was its playwright in its early years. The characters in these stories include fairies, spirits, ghosts and sorcerers. Yeates heard these stories from the Irish peasants and wrote these wonderful tales of myth, the occult, and magic.
