Once upon a time there was a little prince. After his father and mother died, his uncle took his place and inherited the throne. When he learned that he was about to be sent to the frontier by the emperor uncle, he became very angry that he lost his mind and smashed his mother’s favorite porcelain cup. The heart-broken little prince then heard that there was a porcelain workshop outside the palace. He disguised himself as a little apprentice and worked in the workshop. Soon he mastered all the production techniques.
Years later, the little prince returned to the capital and became the emperor. After admiring a painting of A Hen and Her Chicks, the little emperor made a design for a small porcelain cup. He asked an artist to paint a hen, a rooster and two chicken on it. After it was made, it turned out to be a beautiful porcelain cup which became the emperor’s favorite for life. With his little Chicken Cup, he never felt lonely again.
