This is the second volume of a new three-volume translation of the New Testament. It contains the letters attributed to the apostle Paul (including the letter to the Hebrews), and presents these works as the "blueprint program" for the whole Christian canon. Paul's letters inform each of the other New Testament books because the apostle's understanding of God's victory through his christ, the "son of man" Jesus of Nazareth, is what we find elaborated and told in them. Thus, while we cannot say with any certainty that Paul invented Christianity, we should recognize the extent to which his outlook pervades that tradition's entire scriptural corpus.
