Sixteen-year-old Timberly originally falls for and dates Mario, the star football player with all the right moves, but then she notices Tyson, a young writer who says all the right things. Tyson writes beautiful love songs and poems about her, and she falls in love with him. Arrogance and jealously drive Mario to perhaps permanently eliminate his competition during Timberly’s family vacation cruise when Tyson comes up missing.
