(YC) There are poems like a sigh that barely take flight. Then there are others of enduring inspiration, with prodigious wings. Such is the case of Psalm of Solitude, a hymn that travels into the depth of being, exploring the earthly and divine origins of humanity, which the author has dressed with a feminine skin. Loneliness is portrayed as Eve, a muse, a goddess… life, death and passion are all embodied in a female face. And who better to talk about aloneness than a priest who’s also poet, who has faced her as she is - naked and primitive, devoid and possessive, all at the same time? After reading this poem dedicated to the greatest of all human vulnerabilities -loneliness- the reader will not feel alone. (YC)
