Body Guard

Detective Inspector Carol Ashton appears fully recovered from a serious gunshot wound that nearly took her life. But appearances can be deceiving. Carol is now questioning her commitment to a career that came so close to killing her. And now she is given a most unwelcome assignment. She must safeguard the abrasive Marla Strickland–the famous American feminist–whose talent for controversy is certain to create headlines during her visit to Australia.

Ms. Strickland is also reluctant to accept the necessity of a bodyguard. Until the grisly death of one of her staff members forces her to accept Carol’s presence. Thrown together uneasily, neither woman has any real sense of the danger that waits for Marla.

A deadly game is in progress, with a group called Wellspring pulling the strings. Marla is their target. But once again, it is Carol in the line of fire.
