Arriving at the Augusta National Golf Club to play in his first Masters tournament, talented amateur golfer Sam Skarda, a thirty-three-year-old Minneapolis police detective on medical leave following a shooting, finds himself tapped to investigate the killing of the Masters rules committee chair, whose body in found in the middle of the fairway, followed by the murder of a New York Times columnist.
