122 pages and more than 250 illustrations and charts, size 8.25 x 10.75 inches. This workshop manual is a faithful reproduction of the original Yamaha factory 'Combined Workshop Manual' part number LIT-11612-14-99 for the DTI Series of motorcycles manufactured between 1968 and 1971. Based on our research, Yamaha published at least 7 service manuals and 3 supplements for the 1968-1971 DT1 series. However, the revised 'Combined' workshop manual LIT-11612-14-99 is considered to be the most comprehensive as it was published after the introduction of the 1971 models and it includes the MX series and GYT modifications for racing. It should be noted that the side by side landscape pages beginning with the 'DT1A (1968) Model Changes' section have been re-formatted into single pages for improved readability. In addition, the 'Motorcycle Service News' page that deals with the installation of the 'lighting choke coil' has been omitted as there were no legible versions published in any of the DT1 series of workshop manuals. However, the installation of the 'choke coil' is addressed in both the 'wiring diagrams' and the 'DT1A to DT1B Changes' sections of the 'combined' manual. We encourage you to exercise caution when purchasing technical publications for your classic Yamaha DT Series motorcycle as many of the reprints found on internet websites are from 'bedroom sellers' at enticingly low prices by individuals that really have no idea what they are selling. Many are nothing more than poor quality, comb-bound photocopies that are scanned and printed complete with greasy pages and thumbprints and, as such, are deceptively described as 'pre-owned', 'used' or even 'refurbished'. In addition, they are often advertised for the incorrect series and/or model years. While original manuals can also be sourced through on-line sellers they are normally very expensive and we are pleased to be able to offer this reasonable priced alternative. VelocePress.com has been publishing reprints of motorcycle and automobile manuals since 2003 and our publications have earned excellent reviews worldwide so you can be assured you are purchasing a quality product.
