As a son of (Uncle) Arthur Maxwell, Lawrence Maxwell has a natural ability for storytelling and writing. A native of England, he moved with his family to the United States when he was 11. After attending Pacific Union College, he served as a minister and then became the first editor of Guide magazine. He also served as editor for Signs of the Times, Our Little Friend, and Primary Treasure.
