As a boy in the 1960s, Robert Zweig would visit his mother’s birthplace - Naples, Italy - every summer. During each visit, he’d uncover new mysteries about the parents he thought he knew, including how his German father survived Auschwitz, came to Italy and met Zweig’s mother, and how the pair survived the ravages of Fascism and Nazism during World War II.
