darkacre comes directly out of five artist book collaborations with printmaker Fred Hagstrom. These books have been acquired by the Art Institute of Chicago, Bradley University, Carleton College, Grinnell College, Kenyon College, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minnesota History Center, University of Colorado, University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, and the Walker Art Center. One of them, His Small Self Constant, Variable, was part of juried shows at the International Print Center in New York and the Southern Graphics Show. Greg Hewett’s previous collection was an Indie Bound Top Ten Poetry selection, received the Publishing Triangle Award for Gay Male Poetry, and was reviewed in the Christian Science Monitor. He has developed both a gay and general interest audience, which we hope to expand with this accessible collection.
