The book characterizes titles according to character traits/values, such as caring, confidence, courage, curiosity, discipline, flexibility, friendship, humility, humor, initiative, integrity, patience, perseverance, positive attitude, problem solving, self, setting goals, teamwork. There are 17 chapters focused on specific traits and describing titles pertinent to each theme. About 280 titles are covered. For each title, there is a full annotation, discussion notes and activity suggestions, and collaborative reading titles. Grades K-5 (adaptable for higher grades).
