Native peoples control millions of hectares of sovereign wildlands around the world. To facilitate the vital effort by native communities to help one another keep the wilderness in their ancestral lands, the first Native Lands and Wilderness Council was convened during the 8th World Wilderness Congress in 2005. This inaugural handbook documents the council�s shared experience and unique expertise.
