Charles Partridge Adams was a major Colorado landscape painter during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. More than any other artist who has adopted the Centennial State, Adams came to be regarded by the public and critics alike as the preeminent interpreter of the Colorado landscape. This book includes 90 striking reproductions of Adam’s paintings of Colorado, California, New England, the South, and Europe as well as preliminary sketches and selections from his journals and memoirs.
