Meg is just about to leave Mustang Mountain Ranch when Ruby Tucker, owner of a neighbouring lodge, falls ill. Together with Thomas, Meg must help run the lodge and look after Ruby’s rambunctious 10-year-old stepson, Tyler. Tyler creates all kinds of trouble when he opens a gate and lets the ranch horses out. As they search for the horses, Thomas discovers that someone is catching wild horses and carting them away. Thomas suspects Tyler’s brother Brett and his friends of selling the horses. As a hailstorm hits and Thomas fails to return to the lodge, Meg and Tyler set out on a mission to find him and save the wild horses.
