Bridge in the Rain

Bridge in the Rain is a collection of interconnected short stories set in present day Toronto and linked by an inscription on a bench in High Park. The stories chronicle the travails of seven women, each dealing with a turning point in her life, be it making a career choice, resolving family crises, illuminating a secret behind a local legend, or finding an inspiration for her artistic endeavours. The stories are imbued with an international context inherent in the multicultural nature of Canadian society, linking contemporary women’s issues with concepts from history and art.
