John Bishop and Dennis Green of the renowned Bishop’s Restaurant in Vancouver are great chefs who have a real zest for learning more about food, trying new ingredients and inventing new recipes. They have long believed that simplicity in cooking is learning to let quality seasonal ingredients speak for themselves. Over the years, they have created a collection of recipes that combine their enthusiasms-wonderful dishes that feature seasonal ingredients with exquisite flavor and texture.
After a few successful years together, John and Dennis were inspired to offer cooking classes to show their enthusiastic patrons that cooking good food need not be difficult. In the course of creating recipes for those cooking classes, the two of them began to simplify the preparation of the restaurant’s signature dishes without sacrificing color or quality. The result has become a collection of easy-to-make imaginative and delicious recipes all wrapped up in a stylish new book entitled Simply Bishop’s.
