On 30 August 1995 18 year old Torontonian Stacey Levitt was out jogging and was struck and killed by a car. Her death caused an outpouring of grief not just aomng family and friends but in the community as a whole. She was a gifted athlete, dancer, student and friend. She was also an excellent poet. Stacey’s parents posthumously published I Am A Rose shortly after her death.
