Shane Southerland was as equally athletic as he was creative. In sports he excelled at football, skiing, rock climbing, skydiving and more. On the creative side, he could photograph, video edit, play 5 instruments, and write; He could write grade A school papers, music, political arguments and more. Shane managed to combine both loves; adventure and creativity, into many memorable events and works of art. He did so with infectious laughter, goofy faces and attire that only he could pull off, and a quirky sense of humor. Despite his fanatical love of his favorite sport, skydiving, Shane was happiest in his walk with God. After committing his life to Christ, he found new purpose and began a life of serving the Lord and others in need, before he passed away, and is now home with our Heavenly Father. Shane wrote this book as a College assignment paper, and it delighted his Mom when she found it amongst his other belongings more than 2 years after his passing. It is special to me, his mother Kelly, to have discovered that he wrote and illustrated this book before his flight with Christ. I dedicate this book to my other son, and his brother, Corey Southerland.
