Prior to joining California Southern, Dr. Beckwith was the Dean of Business & Management at Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. and was Chair of Business at Southwestern AG University in Texas. Dr. Beckwith worked for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in management positions and retired from AAFES after 26 years, as a Vice President. After retirement, she founded Beckwith Leadership Consulting Group, a training & development organization. Her work experiences and her commitment to her faith created a desire within her to write inspirational books about life in general, to include personal and professional goals; love, and her beliefs in God’s promises in every area of one’s life. She embraces positivity and speaks domestically and internationally on topics of leadership, faith, and personal goal achievement. This is Dr. Beckwith’s fourth book. Passionate and Purposeful Work: A Biblical Perspective has been written for those who work every day and do not feel that they are doing anything special at work. It is for those who love their work and love Jesus but don’t know how to mix the two. It is also for those who lead others; reminds and encourages these leaders of their responsibility to lead well. This book is written to help Believers understand how their actions can create a harmonious work environment or a toxic one. Finally, this book speaks to the need for the Fruits of the Spirit outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 are important characteristics of the Believer even at work.
