This book of poetry is based on the experiences of a southern, creative mind. Amy Garrison takes you through the deep south to the newer metropolitans. She communicates in words what many often feel but can’t articulate. These poems derived from her experiences living and visiting various places throughout the east and west coast: AL, GA, FL, VA, D.C., MD, NY, NJ and now TX.Deep Thoughts, Deep Poetry, Deep South is a book of poetry that symbolizes the freedom to express one’s self without any interruptions, limitations or mental chains. In this book, Amy demonstrates how, through poetry, she allowed herself to hear her own voice by capturing her thoughts on paper, and it just so happened that she experienced some of this freedom while growing up in one of the most southern parts of Alabama.
