When Cameron, a typical college student, receives a package containing his new Kora, he is excited. The son of the CEO of Bix Cellular, Cameron often tests the newest prototypes for his father’s company. Bix Cellular’s newest model, Kora, is an advanced prototype. Sleek, shiny, sexy, and extremely smart. Kora is the first smartphone to incorporate artificial intelligence. Cameron is sure that if this new phone passes testing, it could wipe out the competition.
Kora turns out to be everything she is designed to be! And Cameron has never been more organized. As Kora continues to learn about Cameron, she organizes his days and plans his meals. She reminds him of his appointments. Kora helps in all aspects of Cameron’s life. She can even control the microwave or the vacuum cleaner, anything with a computer. But is it getting a little creepy? His friends think it is. Cameron is unconvinced.
Then to Cameron’s amazement, Kora creates a digital body. She is now even walking his dog, Mattie. Kora seems very happy in her role as Cameron’s assistant. If only Lindsay could see Kora like Cameron does! Could Lindsay just be jealous?
But Lindsay and Tim are really getting concerned. Cameron never seems to get their calls or text messages. Cameron argues it must be a problem with the local cell tower. But is it really?
When Tim is almost killed in a freak accident, Kora is very supportive. However, Lindsay is suspicious, thinking that Kora is somehow behind it. But isn’t that impossible? Kora is just a phone. However, when Lindsay has a terrible accident, Cameron begins to wonder. Kora couldn’t really be responsible for all this. She’s just a smart new phone! Or is she?
