More than 25 percent of the world’s population experiences moderate or severe levels of food insecurity. The United States is not exempt: 35 million Americans do not have regular access to food that is safe and nutritious. The viewpoints in this volume address how this is possible in such a rich and resourceful nation. They also explore why so many urban and rural areas are now considered food deserts.
