Evangelism and Pagan England

Evangelism is a much wider term than Methodism, but it may I think be justly claimed that Methodism is the outstanding historical result of the Evangelical Revival of the eighteenth century. The movement is the mother at least amongst English-speaking people of most modern evangelistic appeals. Since one must begin somewhere I begin with the Church with which I am most familiar.
