At a major turning point in the history of early Christianity, Luke interprets Jesus's message for new times and new conditions. Thus, he provides an example for present-day communities to follow in their constant efforts to be faithful while presenting Jesus's message in ways that are relevant to changing times and cultures. Acts is a wonderful book to read for any disciple but especially for anyone involved in the ongoing renewal of church life today.
