On the way home from a family trip, Angila's parents are tragically killed, and she is forced to live with her drug-addicted aunt. Her aunt teaches her nothing about life, but Angila does her best and puts herself through school, despite the loss of her parents. But surrounded by the drug culture, Angila soon smokes marijuana and eventually tries cocaine in exchange for sex. Angila thinks she's completely alone, not yet noticing that God is always at her side. She eventually meets Terry, and although he has also lived a rough life, Terry believes God is good and preaches thet gospel to Angila. She has lost everything, but she finds hope in Terry, who helps her into rehab and gets her to stop dealing drugs. It's possible that, despite a painful past, Angila will be able to get her life back together. She has the power to turn her life around with God's help-and the help of those around her, including Ms. Sue, a sympathetic support that gets Angila through some bad times. Despite a terrible childhood, Angila endures and might even become a wife and mother someday, living happily for the God who loves her.
