Justin Carreau, best described as pure steel and sex appeal, learns of an opportunity to work again with his professional rivals, the two brothers Warren and Daniel Kendall, at an archeological site in Washington State. Their mutual goal is to discover a buried Viking ship. However, Justin also hopes to uncover the truth regarding an earlier accident that claimed the life of his best friend and fellow archeologist, Todd McKenna.

The three archeologists come together on this new assignment, along with three others playing pivotal roles in the mystery: Lynnzee Monroe, a greenhorn yet beautiful assistant; Charlotte Brennan, an elderly widow harboring secrets; and Rochelle Kendall, the reluctant and wary bride of Daniel Kendall.

The archeological crew travel along Washington State rivers in search of an authentic Viking longboat, buried and well preserved according to the ancient Norse custom. Without a doubt, they are aware that dozens and dozens of these Viking longboats have been discovered buried and perfectly preserved in nearly every other continent around the globe.

Regarding the Kendall brothers, blood and kinship in the end mean nothing, not when it comes to the bottom line, a line Warren conceivably may cross over, and Daniel battles against and struggles with his inner demons.

Vindication is a story of one man's fight for justice, and in the end, it comes down to blood, brothers, and war, while another accident looms heavily on the horizon.
