The alien artificial intelligence Nia changed the galaxy in unexpected ways - including setting off a chain of events that lead to the destruction of the MAMMOTH a mysterious energy harvesting machine that destabilizes the MAW, the supermassive black-hole in the center of our galaxy. The resulting gravity waves ripple throughout the galaxy, warping time and space.

William, an earthling exploring to galaxy to find out the origins of his nascent super abilities meets up with a band of survivors on their ship The Orphanage: Little Boy - the giant child leader of The Orphans; Haze - a curmudgeonly bodiless creature made of pure vapor; Rascal - a self-loathing zealot with dark secrets; and Critter - somewhere between a monster and a puppy. Each Orphan is the last of their kind, all their kin having been destroyed by the Hive.

This group of ragtag space misfits find themselves find themselves in over their heads when they steal a mysterious weapon from Ekol Razel and his gang of hungry Vaptors. What begins as a space-heist, quickly becomes a galaxy saving mission when the package - William Ackerson - is revealed to have strange electromagnetic powers which he cannot entirely control. The Orphanage also has a stow away - Samsi, a warrior and lone survivor of an ancient civilization that once ruled the galaxy.

Open World is Stan Lee by way of Kurosawa as the epic canvas of Alliances is opened up to introduce giant quest to save the fabric of reality and our band of misfits are forced to confront their own dark pasts in order to pave the way for a brighter future.
