Four young women are sharing a loft apartment in New York City. They also share an ambitious streak: Claire wants to make it big in the world of design, Abby is an aspiring writer and both Sasha, a medical student, and Morgan, a Wall Street trader, are determined to reach the top of their fields.

Throughout thick and thin - and the ups and downs of their romantic relationships - The Apartment is always a safe haven. It’s a place they can call home, where the friends can turn to each other for support.

But when life begins to change for each of the women in ways they could never have predicted, will their bonds of friendship survive? And with the arrival of various new challenges to their relationships, careers and family lives, is the bright future they all aspire to still within reach?
