This adventure takes place at the mall on a stormy winter day. Landon visits a pet store for the first time and realizes that all these different pets are for sale. On the way home, he asks his parents if he can have a pet. Later that night, while asleep, Landon learns every pet is different. Some pets run around and some are in cages or bowls.
