This memoir begins in 1975 when six couples came together to form a gourmet club. For over forty years, this disparate group experienced camaraderie and poignant moments during meetings at which recipes were gleaned from around the world, creating cooking successes-and disasters!

Memories of this period were taken from a diary which chronicled the dates and menus for each dinner, yellowed newspaper pages of recipes used and saved, and aged and tattered letters from members informing the recipient of the themes and recipes they wanted to use.
