This humble book that you hold in your hand started out as a diary, written on scraps of paper, and in notebooks that were cobbled together and hidden from view by a lonely, displaced little girl. Katarina B. Viktor filled the pages of her secret book with her thoughts, ideas and musings. She would even wake in the middle of the night with inspired thoughts that she wrote down on any bit of paper she could find, including sticky notes . When boredom struck on mundane activities like riding the bus, Katarina’s imagination would soar and she kept adding to her writings. Recording her tumultuous feelings and observations of life’s simple joys and beauties provided Viktor with an escape into the world of imagination. As Katarina gradually developed what became an unshakeable faith in God, the spiritual aspect of her poems deepened. Katarina’s diary became to her more than an inanimate object. It was a friend she could confide in. Yet the biggest allies in Katarina’s life became God, The Lord Jesus Christ, and the beautiful man she met and built a life with, at the point she was most broken.
