This children’s book follows the misadventures of a young eaglet, Laughing Eagle, as he gets lost in a nearby city and can’t remember who he is or where he belongs. It isn’t until he starts to dream about his former home, and feels hopeless to find home again, that home finds him. From early childhood, the author, Colleen Rodriguez, grew fond of storytelling as she was warmed and delighted by the bedtime stories told to her by her parents. Those secure, bonding times were the inspiration behind the creation of Laughing Eagle, a book begun over 30 years ago. Colleen and her husband have three daughters and two sons, and she is thrilled to team up with their oldest, Lizzy Rodriguez, as the illustrator of this book.
