About the AuthorEdmund Ekuban is a Fine Artist and Fashion Designer. Edmund participated in a US National Fashion Designers Competition in 1993 organized by New Day Associates in Linden, New Jersey. He has since then clothed clients such as Miss Universe Ghana 2006 and contestants from Sierra Leone and Ghana for the Miss Africa USA pageant held in the DC area over different years, including a 2nd runner up and 1st runner up finalist. As the Fashion Contributing Editor and cartoonist for the New Ghanaian Newspaper for many years, he wrote an exciting column on current fashion trends, along with his take on them– fashion koti [police] reporting for duty. Produced under his label, Kuban, Mr. Ekuban’s artwork spans a broad spectrum as he enjoys creating all ranges of art: from portraits, abstracts, and cultural scenes, often produced from his imagination. In 2010, he was one of 17 artists invited to showcase their works at the National Urban League’s Centennial Celebration in the Washington, D.C. area.He has volunteered as a ministry assistant over the years and has a passion for the youth. In 2007, he received his diploma in Biblical Studies from the Bible College at GICC in Alexandria, VA. He attends church at World Missions Ministries in Clinton, MD. Eddie and his wife Maame-Efua Ekuban have two children, Brielle, and Elian, and reside in Northern Virginia.
