Seeking to reveal God’s plans for her future, the author takes a spiritually and emotionally charged journey into her past. She pours out her life to her readers in vivid detail; leaving no stones or skeletons unturned. Each chapter builds upon the next as she frantically searches to find corresponding puzzle-like connections to each piece of her seemingly meaningless life. Her story begins pre-birth; sharing the challenges of being born and raised, by her grandmothers, in an Illinois steel-town. Her efforts trigger a series of life altering events which take her down a winding path of destruction. As a teen she is confronted with the realities of life, love, and family disappointments of coming to age. As a young adult, she takes a leap of faith only to be jolted into reality by unimaginable challenges of marrying too soon. In an act of desperation, she seeks safety and security, from her personal storms, by enlisting in the US Army. The Army becomes a catalyst to God and to all of the answers she seeks.
