Eric’s Room is centered on a boy named Eric, who has an unusual collection of stuffed animals he calls the Critters. They are unique in that they come to life only when alone or with him; but never in front of his parents or friends. In this story, Working Together, Eric helps the Critters see the importance of team effort toward reaching a goal.

Eric is an only child, and since there are no other youngsters in the house who might share his experiences, the big question becomes: Is he telling the truth when he speaks of the Critters’ misadventures or are they just the result one boy’s overactive imagination?
