Paratrooper Corporal Reith Douglas loses his memory when he receives a head injury during World War II.

Desperate to recover his past, he little realises that things are never quite what they seem. But once he returns to his wife in Glasgow, the horrific memories of war come flooding back - and of good and bad times before the war.
