China’s Health Situation, Policy, and Law

Medicine and law span two distinct professional fields, which inevitably makes it difficult for those who are proficient in medicine to master law and vice versa. However, the two professions are the study of people, so they are bound to be closely related. In particular, with the continuous improvement of Chinese laws and the enhancement of social awareness of rights, legal issues related to medical behavior have become the hot spot and focus of common attention of the public and medical professionals. This book mainly introduces China's medical and health policy and legal issues, involving medical damage and medical disputes, medical reform and medical justice, doctor-patient relationships, rights and obligations in emergency treatment, mental health issues, hospice care, and dignified death.
