Handley C. G. Moule was an evangelical Anglican theologian, writer, poet and the Bishop of Durham from 1901 through 1920. His father, Henry Moule, was the Vicar of Fordington for over 50 years.
Moule wrote over 60 Christian books and pamphlets, and two of his best are combined in this volume entitled HANDLEY MOULE TIMES TWO. The first essay, MESSAGES FROM THE EPISTLE OF THE HEBREWS, was first published in 1909 while Moule held the position of Bishop of Durham. The second work, PHILIPPIAN STUDIES, details lessons in faith and love from St. Paul’s EPISTLE TO THE PHILIPPIANS. It was published earlier in Moule’s career when he was the Principal of Ridley Hall.
Mould delves deeply into the epistles and develops some moving testimony of the true meaning of both, which should move active Christian minds to a greater and perhaps more meaningful understanding thereof.
After reading HANDLEY MOULE TIMES TWO you won’t see either epistle in the same light again, and perhaps you’ll seek an even deeper understanding of the truths of God’s message to mankind…the Bible.
