Now that A. B. McKinley is older, he has come to realize that, with the advancements in technology, people don’t read books like they once did. Therefore, the author wanted to share his story, thoughts and voice with the world at large in the form of a book that he feels and hopes everyone will and can relate to.

McKinley also wants to remind people about what it means to have an imagination again and that there is no shame in expressing oneself. He strongly feels that because of his past experiences and those of his friends and family, this book can and will touch somebody. Even if it is just one person, that is all it takes.

About the Author

Growing up, A. B. McKinley didn’t have the easiest life, but he didn’t allow this to stop him from going after what he wanted. The author used his circumstances to fuel the fire inside him to learn about what he loved and ways to do it. At the very tender age of seventeen, he developed his love for poetry and basketball. At first he was just writing as a way to drown out all that was going on around him, but as he got older he realized that he could share his voice with others and possibly help someone else find their voice. The author figured that if he could just touch one person positively he could start to make a difference in the world.
