J. C. Parker and her husband, Lex, are both active duty military and have moved across the country with their two daughters, Maya and Eva. They have four cats: Smokey, Cocoa, Oreo, and Cookie, who have brought humor, joy, and inspiration to this book. Born and raised in Broadalbin, New York, J. C. attended the University of Georgia and Troy University, earning a master’s degree in global studies. When not working, she likes to explore the area with her family, looking for new parks, museums, zoos and other adventures.
