Professor Whats-a-ma-call-it and his wife, Mrs. Whats-a-ma-call-it, are on a whirlwind tour of London. While they are there, the professor loses his Ring of Destiny, something that sets off a series of events making their visit a wonderful adventure.

Along the way, they encounter the princess-to-be, who is about to be married; a kindly and helpful cobbler; and an orphanage full of children who need their help. The couple calls on Grandmama, the professor’s grandmother; technical wizard Baby Z, the Whats-a-ma-call-its’ four-year-old son; and Miss V, their accomplished six-year-old daughter. Together, the family will do all they can to show compassion to those who are in need–and then make it to the royal wedding in time!
