Clara E. Laughlin (1873 - 1941) was an American author and editor with over thirty five works accredited to her name. She was also a radio personality for the Chicago Daily News station in the 1920s and the founder of Clara Laughlin Travel Services, which specialized in advising women about foreign travel. Everybody’s Lonesome follows the adventures of Mary Alice, who visits her Godmother in New York, and learns a little homemade magic to put her at ease with people and make her more socially poised.
