Poems written by Lelah Winslow Lovrien encompass an extensive view of daily living experiences that are familiar to everyone, young and old. She wrote poetry, played the piano, painted in oils and created pottery, all self taught. She taught herself to read French and studied astronomy. Her grandchildren loved her poems.
