Businessman turned naturalist, Matthew McCall, is ready for the greatest challenge of his life - restoring gray wolves to their former home in the high desert of Arizona. His love for the animals dates back to the stories with which his grandfather regaled him. Beautiful Native American rancher, Rebecca Whitefeather, is as strong and unyielding as the rugged land she calls home. Rebecca’s heritage has instilled within her respect for the magnificent predators, but a rancher can’t afford to be sentimental about wild animals, especially those who raid her flocks and cost her her livelihood. Rebecca believes in love and its healing power. Distrustful of his feelings, Matt doesn’t believe in love or in happily-ever-after.
