Deer, Pigs and a Little Bit of Bull!

We follow the lives of Rolly and his mate Jim as they are hired and fired by a variety of hard-case bosses after some spectacular mishaps. They find an injured dog and learn by trial and error how to hunt pigs in the bush, surviving some tense encounters with wild boars that are none too keen on ending up as a roast dinner. But it’s down at the pub that the stories really fly, fuelled by plenty of the amber nectar, as real blokes out-do each other’s yarns about fishing, hunting, and the ones that got away. These stories of Rolly’s early life are smoothly told, with a craftsman’s eye for detail and a wicked sense of humour.
