We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us. A sixteen-year-old London schoolboy and an eighteen-year-old recluse in Shetland meet online, pick a fight with the FBI and change the world forever. Tim Price’s brave play, commissioned by the Royal Court Theatre, London, gets behind the code with the original Anonymous members, offering an anarchic retelling of the birth of hacktivism. Teh Internet is Serious Business is a fictional account of the true story of Anonymous and LulzSec, the collective swarm who took on the most powerful capitalist forces from their bedrooms. The play received its world premiere at the Royal Court, London, in its Downstairs space, on 17 September 2014. The publication features a foreword by Jake Davis, one of the original internet hackers upon whom the play is partly based.
