Voices from Babylon; Or, The Records of Daniel the Prophet is a 1879 work by Joseph A. Seiss. It recounts the story of the prophet Daniel, A noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem who is captured by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Daniel is the hero in the Book of Daniel, a biblical apocalypse combining a prophecy of history with an eschatology. His best-known work is The Great Pyramid of Egypt, Miracle in Stone: Secrets and Advanced Knowledge (1877), considered a primary text of pyramidology. Other notable works by this author include: The Last Times and the Great Consummation (1856), The Children of Silence; Or, The Story of the Deaf (1887), and The Letter of Jesus (1888).
